timefor.london is a social enterprise providing affordable space for social good, arts and education opportunities in Central London.  We consider it our role to affirm and enable all people to express themselves without fear, to access creative and holistic practices, to build connections with others and to support autonomous self-development.  We are committed to social justice, challenging disadvantage and inequality in all areas of our work.

Hosted by non-profit charity Minomics, we have refurbished a disused building and built a conscious cafe and a 38 square metre upstairs studio/gallery out of surplus materials! We offer the space at low cost to individuals, charities and community groups.  Please get in touch if you are interested in using the space, regularly or as a one-off, info@timefor.london

Community

Everything at timefor.london has been donated and built with the generosity of volunteers.

Here is some of our service users’ comments:

“This class has become not just a way to learn to relax but a part of the community that myself and the students are part of and I have often been told that they look forward to it all week. No small part of this is the room itself and the Time for organisation and staff who have supported me and my students every step of the way and were instrumental in this class being possible in the first place.”

“A very cute little community focused cafe, haphazardly charming.”

“I have been coming to the meditation classes run by Raife since they began. I am already missing them. I love the movement strategies that enable me to focus in on real time; ‘being here now’, and in particular love the introductory talks giving me a much deeper understanding of myself.

The room itself is a significant part of creating a meditative and relaxed atmosphere along with the friendly ethos of those running the space. I can honestly say these are the best meditation classes I have ever attended.”

“I found the fortnightly meditation sessions made a real impact on my mental health and would be really sad to see this asset go. The friendly and welcoming  atmosphere and space was the perfect setting to help me explore how I  can better handle daily life and stresses.”

“Very homely and cosy place with cheap good food”

“I am professional working woman who attends a regular yoga class at Time For Cafe’s upstairs room and have been doing so for about a year now. That class is a lifesaver for me and not only sets me up for the week but is also one of the highlights of my week. The classes are taught by a gifted instructor and are  budget-friendly which makes them affordable for me to attend.

The room has been beautifully decorated and maintained and is an oasis of calm despite it being situated on the very busy, chaotic and
polluted Pentonville Road. It is a serene space perfectly suited for
restorative classes.

The Cafe – when it was open – served delicious food and coffees and
was a welcoming and much loved space to escape the chaos of London.

I can’t overemphasise how vital the classes at Time For Cafe are to my week. It’s near my home and office and I’ve come to rely on it as a boost to my physical and mental health. I really hope it will remain open and able to offer such vital classes for the community.”
